Repeat after me:

I have all the time and energy I need to complete my most important tasks.


I really needed this reminder today and I thought you might as well: you have all the time and energy you need to complete your most important tasks this day, this week, this month.

When we use this mantra, it reminds us:

  1. To stop the negative thought pattern, whatever it might be: I’m tired. I’m overwhelmed. I’ve got too much to do.
  2. To prioritize: If I have all the time and energy I need to accomplish my MOST IMPORTANT tasks, then I’ve got to know what’s most important.

And please listen to this: Your most important “task” might be resting or doing something fun or enjoying your coffee. We’re a to-do list society and you don’t have to completely uninstall that programming to expand your vision of what “counts.” Sometimes my most important “task” is to sit by my pool and read a book. (Today is not one of those days, unfortunately.)
